Het Fellowship Fund Committee van AICA International organiseert op 3 september om 15 uur as een webinar met de titel Decolonisation in the Museum: Interrogating the History of Slavery.
Directe aanleiding zijn twee tentoonstellingen: de Slavernij-tentoonstelling in het Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (tot 29 augustus 2021) en de tentoonstelling Afro-Atlantic Histories in het Museo de Arte de Sao Paulo (MASP), in 2018. Sprekers zijn curatoren Valika Smeulders (Rijksmuseum), Adriano Pedrosa (MASP), Anthony Bogues (Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice aan de Brown University, Providence, VS) en Babacar Mbaye Diop (voorzitter AICA Senegal, directeur 11e Dakar Biennale).

Het is het eerste webinar in een serie rond dekolonisatie onder te titel 'Ruptured Histories: Critical Exchanges on Issues of Decolonisation', georganiseerd door het Fellowship Fund Committee van AICA International.
